Pastor Timothy Thorne

was saved at an early age and was called into full time ministry as a teen at youth camp. After his graduation from Baptist Bible College in Springfield Missouri in 1977, he and Renae were married that summer. After serving on staff at a church in North Carolina and then helping his brother establish a new work in Long Island, NY, he came back to his home church, Capital City Baptist in 1979 to serve as Youth & Music Director for 9 years. In October of 1988 he was called to become Pastor of Capital City Baptist Church where he currently serves. He and his wife Renae have three grown children; all Crown College of the Bible graduates. Holli is serving the Lord as a Christian piano teacher and works in the music ministry at Capital City Baptist; leading the choir and organizing special music. Carrie serves the Lord faithfully and lives in Alabama. Chris serves the Lord as a Pastor in Virginia.  Chris and his wife Amanda have one son in heaven Logan; and two other sons, Nathaniel and Noah.
